Themes - Sustainable architecture

At van Es architecten, we see sustainability as the perfect point of departure for projects with a strong quality focus. We base our approach on what is known as the ‘triple bottom line’: People, Planet and Profit.
Whichever principles a design is based on, ultimately, we always seek to strike the right balance between user-friendly design, feasibility and potential environmental impact.

We review a wide range of aspects, and where possible, make use of renewable resources and the intrinsic thermal capacity of the building mass. In addition, we strive to use innovative and energy-efficient systems wherever possible. Our BIM software allows us to gain a clear insight into a building’s expected environmental footprint at a very early stage.

Our sustainable projects include:

The new offices of CAB Holland in Gorinchem
The new data centre for the Alblasserdam firm Dataplace
The new building for De Hooizolder Wildlife and Environmental Education Centre in Sliedrecht
