Sliedrecht Station is the town’s former railway station building, and is located along the MerwedeLingelijn between Dordrecht and Geldermalsen. The station hall, which was designed by R.M.J.A. Steenhuis, was officially opened on 16 July 1885.
The renovated station hall in Leerdam, which was also renovated by van Es architecten, is a smaller version of this building.
The Sliedrecht building is no longer in use as a railway station, but it has been preserved and currently serves as the home base for the restaurant ‘Heeren van Slydrecht’.
