van Es architecten oversaw the realisation of a new entrance hall for the headquarters of Gorinchem-based Damen Shipyards, with a luxurious and contemporary architectural atmosphere. The building itself has considerable character, with a presentable ‘marquee’ and the use of various quality materials for its finish. The new main entrance can be used for a range of functions and not only accommodates a reception desk with a post room and sanitary facilities, but also a comfortable waiting area with an exhibition space that presents the company’s activities to its visitors.
