At the Burgemeester Feitsmapark in Sliedrecht, van Es architecten has made the design for the expansion of the NME-Centre. This centre for environmental education makes children practical acquainted with various aspects of nature, environment and technology.
A new layout has been made for the current part of the building, and the expansion provides a place for a classroom and an office area. These building parts are connected by a glass central hall that provides access to the centre.
The building has a friendly architectural style by applying black wooden façade elements in combination with coloured accents in the window frames.
